Welcome to “Gallery UTSUWA-KAN”.
“Gallery UTUWA-KAN”, which was established at Murasakino( Kyoto) in 1984,
deals in fine ceramics from the potters of modern Japan.
It’s in Kyoto that the two positions of Japanese art, the tradition and
the avant-garde,
have been competing with each other.
So we would like to offer a large selection of vessels (Utsuwa) and objets
of the potters, who neither rely on the tradition nor ignore it, but always
aim at the creation of originality.
“Gallery UTUWA-KAN” is four stories high. Two floors are Shops; the other
exhibition spaces.
